It is a substance that is safe, non-toxic, soluble in water and non-flammable as well as has strong cohesion, high hydrolytic stability and chlorine resistance, and it will not coagulate and is insensitive to changes in pH value. The freezing point is about -2.8 °C; the specific gravity is about 1.04g/cm, and the decomposition temperature is 280—300 °C. PolyDADMAC is used as cationic coagulant in wastewater treatment, mining and mineral processing; used as formaldehyde-free fixing agent in textile industry; used as anionic trash catcher and AKD curing accelerator in papermaking process; used as clay stabilizer for well drilling and acid fracturing cationic modifier in water injection in oilfield industry. In addition, polydadmac is also used as modifier, antistatic agent, humidifier, shampoo and moisturizer for skin care.
